South Central Youth and Family Services is a non-profit human services agency, primarily serving Warren, Marion, Madison, Clarke, Adair, Guthrie and Dallas Counties. Our services are developed to serve the unique needs of the area, utilizing a "continuum of services" approach integrating our services with the other available resources in the area. Our primary goals are to keep families intact and to minimize the placement of youth out of the home. Therefore, our focus is on services designed to empower and strengthen the family.
We offer a short-term youth shelter and an array of outpatient services, focusing on minimizing the disruption to the family, and focusing on maximizing community involvement and integration.
The continuum approach acknowledges the complex and changing nature of individuals and family units and allows for an immediate shifting of the level of intervention as needs change, toward the ultimate goal of family self-sufficiency. Our agency strives to provide the least restrictive and least intensive intervention that will achieve the desired results.
Our Family Counseling staff members are available in all levels of care within the Agency from the beginning of service intervention through termination. The Family Counselor can provide the ongoing link with the home community and the ongoing familiarity and rapport with the client.
This institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
